Your image is never uploaded. It is processed entirely inside your own browser, on your own device.

Your images

When you choose or drop an image into Paper Animator, the file is read by the page and processed in your browser tab. The torn-paper pass — the outline, the fibres, the shadow, the animation frames, the PNG and the WebM — all runs on your machine.

Your image is never transmitted to this site's servers, and never sent to any other server. There is no upload step, no render queue and no storage bucket holding your file, because the file never leaves your device. The only thing your browser sends out is the ordinary request for this web page itself.

What our hosting provider sees

This site is delivered through Cloudflare. Like any web host or CDN, Cloudflare processes the standard request data needed to serve a page and to protect the site from abuse — for example the IP address a request comes from, the page that was requested, and the browser's user-agent string. That is ordinary server operation and it applies to this site in the same way it applies to any other website you visit.

We do not build a profile of you from that data, and we do not sell it.

Accounts, email and analytics

• There is no account, no sign-up and no email list on this site.
• This site does not run analytics. There is no tracking script on the tool page.
• The tool is free and nothing is metered or counted.

Cookies

This site does not set cookies of its own, and it does not use them to recognise you. Cloudflare may set its own security-related cookie as part of protecting the site from bots and abuse; that cookie is set by Cloudflare, not by us, and it is not used to advertise to you.

Advertising — planned

We plan to place third-party advertising on this site in the future. When that happens, third-party ad vendors may set cookies or use similar identifiers to measure and target ads. This policy will be updated to describe that before any ads go live.

Nothing about advertising changes how your image is handled: even with ads present, the image you load into the tool is still processed only in your own browser and is still never uploaded.

Children

This site is a general-purpose image tool and is not directed at children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example when advertising is introduced — the date at the top of this page will change with it.
