What this site is

Paper Animator is a free tool that turns a single photo into a torn-paper collage animation. You drop in one image, adjust the paper edge, the tear, the shadow and the motion, and download the result. The whole torn-paper pass runs inside your own browser tab.

There is one page that does the work, and it is the page you land on. Everything else here — this page, the privacy policy and the contact page — exists so you can tell what the tool is, what it does with your file, and how to reach a person if something is wrong.

Who runs it

Paper Animator is an independent project. It is published under the name Paper Animator; no personal name is published on this site, and there is no company name, no office address and no sales team on this page.

If you need to reach whoever maintains it, the address on the contact page goes to a real inbox that is read.

What it does with your image

• Your image is decoded and processed in your own browser. It is never uploaded to this site or to any other server.
• There is no account, no email and no sign-up. Nothing is metered, limited or queued.
• There is no watermark on anything you download.
• The tool is free. There is no paywall, no credit system and no trial.

What it cannot do

The tool page states its own limits under “What this page can and cannot do”. In short: it reads a single still image, it cuts a paper edge, and it exports PNG and WebM. It does not read video, it does not export MP4 or GIF, it has no audio, and it uses no AI model — the background cutout is a colour flood-fill, not segmentation.
